Scorched Ink Magazine is a print
publication showcasing authors of short fiction in just about any genre,
although we generally focus around sci-fi and fantasy with a distinct
leaning towards darker stories.
Published bi-annually every June and December, Scorched Ink
welcomes both fledgling and experienced writers. Our publication pays
royalties based on a share of profits from each issue sold divided between
the authors featured in the issue. If your story is chosen you will
also receive a free copy of the magazine, have the opportunity to see
your story in print, and can add Scorched Ink to your publication
credentials. If you're interested in submitting a story, please check
out our submission
guidelines.
The magazine runs out of Houston, TX, and is entirely a labor of love
by a few crazed editors, one of which has fuzzy ears and a tail (we
kid, really). Publication and distribution of Scorched Ink
are through Lulu.com print services.
Submissions for the June 2008 issue will close on May 10th,
2008.
